Everyone has dreams or ideas about what they want to do in their life. Our dreams for our lives show the things that we like or that are important to us. Our dreams help us make choices about what we want to do and how we want to make them happen!

About The Program

The Dream Mentor program is the brainchild of Father Joe Mallia who wanted a program that provided each student from Cabrini Schools from eighth grade to twelfth grade the opportunity to meet with a Dream Mentor to provide academic and occupational exploration prospects both inside and outside of the classroom.

Goals and Objectives

  • Help students find the joy in learning.
  • Provide students with academic and occupational exploration prospects both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Assist students in discovering their abilities, talents & passions.
  • Aid students in creating short and long term educational plans.
  • Create a Dream Roadmap with student that follows the student from year to year based on the student’s interests and goals.

Program's Purpose

The aim of the program will be to:

1. Fostering academic (thinking) development

2. Preparing students to be informed, caring, and productive citizens of society

3. Preparing students for higher education

4. Preparing students for the world of work

Tuesday January 12, 2010 COLLEGE GOAL SUNDAY - Feb 14th Students and parents get free, expert help filling out the FAFSA (free application for federal student aid). Students should bring their social security number, driver's license, parents most recently filed tax return, 2009 untaxes income records. See FAFSA Links under College Info Section.

Thursday December 17, 2009 Check out the new "Student Athlete Resources" file found in the top portion of the College Info Link.

Tuesday December 1, 2009 A $1,000 Scholarship will be awarded to one female and one male high school senior at Cabrini High School. The award will be presented to a deserving, capable high school senior (male & female) who have demonstrated character achievement, leadership, and school and community service. See Mrs. Cornett for details.
